I was in the Celtic supporters club in London road after the recent Rangers game and met a couple of Irish Lads. We had a great time but and I wasn't really surprised to find out that they saw Celtic as an Irish club, however I was surprised by the amount of passion they had for promoting Celtic FC as Irish.
In truth I was slightly taken aback at the seriousness of their conviction and although I know a lot of people think this way I never actually realised just how passionate some people get over this issue.
My personal view is that Celtic are a Scottish club with proud Irish rooots and the last thing I would want is for them to be seen as Irish. I Love seeing the Irish flags at the games and fully understand that with the Saltire being blue we aren't going to see too many of those around.
