Martin O'Neill has revealed today that he cannot match the wages which Premiership clubs are offering, and has given up hope of keeping Balde at the club.
Balde has served us well but in my opinion, he is a liability at times. He is obviously wanting to have a go at the Premiership, which he said when he arrived at the club. He will honour his contract until the end of the season but will get more money in England so good luck to him I suppose.
So do we continue to play Balde? I think yes, until Stephane Henchoz is fully fit. We cannot play with Balde, Varga and Henchoz in defence and why drop Varga or any other defender to accomodate Balde?
I am sure Balde will play at Rugby Park tomorrow, and don't expect any bad blooded reaction to him. He served us well remember, we did not have to pay a penny for his services.
