Benidorm Convention Shambles Has Fans In A Fury

The Celtic European Convention in Benidorm Has Celtic fans in a fury and they are claiming of being "ripped off" by the organisers. Fans going to the Convention were originally told by the Celtic Supporters Association and the Benidorm C.S.C that they had to book tickets in advance for the Concert arena which gave them a weeks entry to the main entertainment area in the evening.
These Tickets were priced at £55 EACH and many Celtic fans bought them in advance to ensure entry. The organisers then announced that daily tickets would be on sale which gave concern to people who had been told they needed advance tickets but in a feat of unreserved stupidity once the Convention had started they then made the events FREE.

Celtic fans who had paid hundreds of pounds up front for tickets were told they could go to the Celtic Tavern pub where they could exchange the tickets for food and drink vouchers but when they arrived they were told that the owners were not available and they should come back the next day. Its not hard to guess what happens the next day is it? Still no refund.

Today is the last day of the convention and we are being bombarded by emails from Celtic supporters whose holiday has been spoiled by this debacle and a quote from a member of a Celtic supporters club sums it up.

"I paid £110 quid for 2 tickets because the CSA announced I had to pay to get into the concert areas and these would sell out quickly" When the concerts were made free I expected a refund but have spent 3 days along with hundreds of Celtic fans getting turned away and treated like dirt, This has left a very sour taste in my mouth and what seemed to be a great party has now turned into a disaster and the Celtic Supporters association should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen"
