Bulgarian defender Ivaylo Petkov has failed in his bid to become a Bhoy. Celtic felt they were being rushed into a decision by agent Martin Reilly and that during the Two training sessions Petkov did not show enough promise to be given an immediate offer. It is thought that Celtic were trying to get the player to play against Chelsea but his agent wanted an answer immediately.
Petkov is said not to have impressed during his stint at Celtic and manager Strachan believes that the player is not any better than those he has at the moment. The left back position is still short and the news that Camara is going on a loan spell at Leeds means that there is no backup for this position and Mark Wilson may have to fill in again for the time being.
