Cheat Supreme Kevin Thompson Adds Lying to his Repertoire.

Kevin Thomson has today 'defended' his decision to hit the deck as if he was hit by a sniper on Saturday, claiming that he was "trying to win a foul" but not cheating. For those of you that saw the incident you will know what happened and will have come to the same conclusion; Thomson kicked out at Samaras in order to win a foul. It should be noted that if the Ref had been conned by his ruse then I am in no doubt that Samaras would have been booked for the 'foul'. That would have upgraded your attempt to win a foul to cheating Kev.

The very fact that Artur Boruc was booked for showing his anger at the blatant attempt to win a foul means that your team gained an unfair advantage underlines the fact that you cheated.

"Anyone who knows me knows I'm not that type of player. I had to turn the car radio off on the way home because I could not believe some of the comments. To call me a cheat and a diver is outrageous because that kind of thing is just not in my nature.

It certainly was "in your nature" on Saturday Kev.

"I've had a look at the incident again on TV and I can see why people are saying I was trying to win a foul. But that's not cheating.

Realising that a player is going to make contact with you and falling out of the way is acceptable, kicking out at the player in order to simulate a greater level of contact is called CHEATING.

"I had beaten Samaras with my first touch and I knew he was going to make contact with me. What was I supposed to do - jump out of his way?

No. What you did do was JUMP INTO HIS WAY!

"If a striker is going through on a keeper and he knows he's going to get hit does he try to jump out of it or does he wait for the contact?

"That's not cheating or diving, that's just part of football. So I'd be very disappointed if people levelled those kind of accusations at me. I play the game with my heart on my sleeve - I'm not a con artist.

The evidence suggests otherwise.

"The bottom line is that I wasn't going to jump out of a challenge when I knew I had beaten him. It was up to him to alter his stride or get out of my way. He didn't do that.

So you knew exactly what you were doing. It was premeditated. You knew that you had beaten his but still you kicked your left leg out to make it appear that he fouled you. Keep talking Kev, keep digging your hole.

"In fairness to him, he wasn't trying to kick me or injure me but I took a bit of a clatter. It was just one of these things that happen."

Who are you to speak of fairness, you patronising ----!

The midfielder said: "Boruc wanted me to get a second booking which would have been ridiculous. I saw a lot worse going on out there that was going unpunished.

Yes, but stop attempting to deflect attention onto your team mates.

"But for Boruc to react the way he did? That lacked class.

Yes and I trust your opinion on what constitutes class, your finish on Saturday was class, there was feck all "classy" about your attempt to win a free kick and get a fellow professional booked.

"I'm not going to get dragged into anything controversial but let's just say I was disappointed with his reaction.

"He could clearly see I was hurt. If I was acting or milking it then that would have been a different matter - I get frustrated with players who do that myself, but football players know when people are at it and when they are genuinely in pain."

Yes you were hurt, DUE TO YOUR OWN ACTIONS IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. This is a shameless attempt to gain favour via pity, well it doesn't wash.

Enjoy your trip to Mount Florida when it comes you dirty cheat.
