Daily Record unsettles Boruc again
Artur Boruc today made comments on the flag furore at Ibrox and commented on his future in Scotland. Speaking to that bastion of truth-laden non-agenda translating quality newspaper Artur said, "I can't complain about anything. But if there is a chance to play in a better club, why not?"
Boruc continues, "All the time I'm doing everything to become a better goalkeeper. I'm trying to improve my skills. I can't stop as it would mean moving backwards. There are still many challenges in Scotland. The derby against Rangers drives the whole league. Only for those games is it worth staying at Celtic.
" Yet we are in the Champions League. Last time we managed to get to the last 16. Why shouldn't we make another step forward?"
I am no English professor, but the lack of grammatical sense and cognisance of tense would either suggest that a three-year-old wrote it (every possibility) or that it is two separate responses to two separate questions that have been cherry picked and taken without context!
It would appear that he is answering a question regarding his abilities and if it could take him to a larger club, not that he wants to leave!
Now it wouldn’t be the first time that the Daily Record has miss-translated an article in a player’s hometown to suit their agenda now is it? Remember the article in which Nakamura innocently talked about his joy at being part of the international set up for his country and the Record made it appear that Naka was homesick and couldn’t wait to go home.
Boruc did comment, with no lack of indignation, on his flag waving antics at Ibrox. The goalie said, "These are impulses, not planned actions. After we lost against Rangers at Ibrox, a Celtic fan gave me a flag. Was I supposed to throw it away? I took it and ran to a changing room. And in the meantime I cheered up our fans a little bit. It is Celtic that became champions of Scotland. I don't see it as abnormal behaviour."
You tell ‘em Artur!
Yours in Celtic
