Hartson Broke the Rules.The Story behind the Story

The Alleged real story behind the John Hartson saga is that he broke the club rules by giving an in depth interview about his private life to a Scottish tabloid newspaper before the end of the season, thus providing ongoing columns of negative print about the club. The embarrassment caused to Gordon Strachan and the Celtic Board was at the time too much to take, and he was told that due to his "personal" problems he was free to find another club. Did big John then play the sympathy card by appealing to the supporters whom he knew adored him, and giving the media more and more bullets to fire at Celtic?, we'll never know. But one thing is for sure, Celtic HAD made their minds up months ago that John would go. The current newspaper "Exclusives" about him being devastated, and unable to digest what has happened to him has only hastened his departure.
This management team and board of directors will not take the bad and unfair publicity aimed at the club by the tabloid press, who for their part are only too happy to print Front and Back page headlines about John Hartson's personal life, matters that have really nothing to do with Celtic Football Club. ,
John Hartson is not a stupid man and his agent is smart therefore why did John spill his heart out to a tabloid that he knew would manipulate his words ?, a tabloid that he knew that was not on the Christmas list of the most powerful Directors at Celtic, and indeed manager Strachans ?.
