Zaluska said : "I am aware that there is a lot of interest in Artur right now and he may not be at Celtic next season. His future will be determined in the coming weeks. If he leaves, it could mean I will have a much better chance to make myself the number one at my new club.
"But I'll also be happy if he stays as he is a good friend and a great guy. I will enjoy the competition and I won't complain or sulk if I'm not the automatic first choice. I'll co-operate whatever happens because the club's success is the main thing.
"I'm sure that friendly competition would help both of us and we will support each other. We've known each other for a long time and we get on well, so it's not a problem.
Zaluska feels that he will get his chance to shine in Paradise. And his hope is that the volume of fixtures Celtic will face next season could have a bearing on the amount of appearances he makes
"At a club like Celtic there are an awful lot of matches to play in. You have the league, the Scottish Cup, the League Cup and European games and the club must compete on every front. I believe we can both play and get enough matches under our belts.
"For now, though, I'm just looking forward to meeting up with my new team-mates for pre-season training and, hopefully, everything will go well."
One wonders who will be there to take charge of pre season training, and indeed who will take charge of the team for the Tommy Burns tribute match next week.
