The attacking midfielder, 29, is lookig to ressurect his career by impressing Hoops boss Martin O'Neil on his weekly trial period.
He has recently been released from Turkish club Fenerbache, and although the transfer window closed on Friday, the player would be allowed to play in domestic competition, as he is currently on a free transfer.
If Celtic were interested in the player, however, he will be cup-tied in the UEFA Cup, due to his appearance for Fenerbache at the beginning of the season.
