Neil Lennon was in no mood to suggest he was going to have any shackles to escape from when it comes to football matters as manager of Celtic. While there was mention of mentors in the lead up to the official appointment, Lennon knows where the buck stops and the blame will be laid if his plans fail to deliver. Not known as a shrinking violet, he reiterated his desire to bring Robbie Keane back to Parkhead. The Republic of Ireland international spent the second half of the SPL campaign in Glasgow on loan from Spurs. Lennon liked what he saw during that time with 12 league goals delivered during 16 appearances. Lennon confirmed he is looking to thrash out a deal with Spurs to secure him permanently, although he would not be gutted if they missed out on his signature. It has also been suggested that Lennon might have to report to the club's board over signings, however, he has confirmed he will have the final say over fresh faces. |
