John Hartson believes a return for Craig Bellamy would add quality to Neil Lennon's squad - but warns he is not the same player as before. Hartson played alongside Bellamy for Celtic back in 2005 and his countryman is being linked with a return to Glasgow. While Hartson believes the Manchester City player would be a good addition to the side, he has warned fans about expectations for Bellamy, who spent last season on loan at Cardiff.
Hartson said: "I would love to see Craig back at Celtic but I would not say he is the same player as six years ago. He is 32 now and he has had a lot of problems with his knees but he is a match-winner and would add to the quality Celtic already have. If supporters think they will be seeing the player who tore up the SPL six years ago, then I'd have to warn them I don't think they will be seeing that. Craig could pick and choose his games at Cardiff and could miss a couple of matches here and there if his knees bothered him. But the SPL is demanding and there are a lot of games both domestically and in Europe."
