McGeady not ready to leave

Darren O'Dea does not think Aiden McGeady is in any particular hurry to leave Parkhead. Former team mate Barry Robson suggested last week that the Republic of Ireland midfielder could be the next player to leave as Tony Mowbray continues to make changes to the squad he inherited from Gordon Strachan last summer. O'Dea said: "Aiden has been successful here but knowing him, he wants to be more successful. He wants to win here as much as anyone else and I don't think he is thinking about anything else but doing that and whatever happens in the future will happen. He can only get better as he is still really young."

Celtic's 3-0 win over St Johnstone at the weekend saw the Parkhead club chalk up three clean sheets in a row for the first time in two years. O'Dea, who has linked up with 19-year-old Josh Thompson at the heart of the defence in recent games, admits it has been a long time coming. The Irishman said: "It is pleasing. I don't think we have done it enough this season but it is pleasing to do it now. It gives us great confidence. We have to build on it now and get a few more clean sheets under our belts. We seem to be more solid up front and in defence and it bodes well for the rest of the season."
