Monday Morning Musings

Morning all

With the silly season… sorry transfer window now in full swing and with everyone from Erroneous of Keevins to every member of every fan site desperate to blow any reputation they might have on a story that starts "My friends Grannies Uncles cats Auntie’s Mothers Gardeners Taxi Driver knows a bin man who’s dogs uncle works in Celtic Park……., one finds oneself looking to the more reliable non-tabloid periodicals for some transfer news.

The Glasgow (Mick McManus is really Thirty) Herald runs with the story that Massimo Donati’s agent will fly into Glasgow this week to finalise the deal to take his 26 Year Old client to Celtic Park.

"We will meet with Celtic representatives in the middle of this week and this meeting will either take place in Glasgow or in London," said Andrea D'Amico, Donati's agent.

"Massimo is interested in a move to Celtic and I hope that after the meeting we will be very happy.

"Palermo, Sampdoria, Torino and Atalanta are all interested in Massimo. Also we do not know yet if AC Milan are definitely going to sell the player, so there is still a bit of work to be done."

Meanwhile back at Celtic Park, Thomas Gravesen’s Agent has again reiterated that TG is a Celtic player. "I think Thomas will still be at Celtic next season. He will fight to get back into the team," said Sivebaek. "That is the way he wants to act as a professional footballer.

"He wants to prove that he can be a success at Celtic. I still think he is a really good footballer and I do not know why he has not been playing at Celtic.

"For me it is strange, but it is the manager's decision. It is not up to us if he is going to play.

"I thought he started off well at Celtic. He scored six goals, which he has never done in a season before, but then things went wrong. Only Gordon Strachan can say what went wrong. But I have no plans at this moment to come over for talks with Celtic

Rumours that TG is holding out for a big pay off are unconfirmed at this time.

Other news from our Parkhead mole is that Celtic have knocked back a £1million pound bid from an Italian team for Evander Sno. Other news is that the £6million take it or leave it bid from a Premiership side for Artur Boruc has been left. Neither of these stories will find their way into the newspapers as Celtic are keen to cherry pick which bones they chuck to our friends in the press.

Stories are abound that Nacho Novo was none too happy at been used as leverage in part of the ill advised and minimalist advance for Steven Naismith. Sources close to the Little … Spaniard says he is seething at this and may look to the exit. Other Rumours from the dark side have Kris Boyd and Alan Hutton for sale with a price tag of £3Million for the former! Ha Ha 3 Mill for Boyd! You couldn’t make it up!

And finally, Big Billy McNeill has joined in on new sport that is gripping the nation, Orc bashing. Nice one Caesar. Speaking to that mathematical genius Darryl Broadfoot Billy said, "Rangers have got a lot to do. Walter (Smith) has a massive job on his hands next season. He's obviously brought in a few players but he has a long way to go before he can start thinking about taking the championship away from Celtic."

"If you consider the margin (of victory in the league) they had last season, then it doesn't look as though anybody is going to be able to upset that."

Yours in Celtic
