Former Celtic legend convinced his agent he was joining Rangers in an astonishing wind-up. He claimed he was signing on a £50,000 a week mega-deal with the help of Chris Sutton, Alan Thompson and Jackie MacNamara. He even stated he was at Murray Park for signing talks.
