There is a still a slim chance of Celtic managing to sign Landry N'Guemo on a permanent deal after his parent club Nancy extended the buy-out clause in his contract until the end of the week. The Parkhead club were originally given until 5pm yesterday, 31 May, to come up with the £1.8million that would secure the Cameroon midfielder on a permanent contract. A previous offer of £1.2m was rejected last month and the club looked likely to lose out on N'Guemo. But the French side have decided to hold off until Friday before N'Guemo is put on the open market. With the board about to name a permanent manager any day now, one of their first jobs will be to make a decision over the midfielder. |
