Celtic have players involved in the opening round of Carling Nations Cup fixtures in Dublin while the other international players in his squad have joined up with their countries. Lennon is frustrated by the timing of this week's international window. He said: "From my point of view I'm a wee bit tense this week, just hoping they all come back in decent shape". Any disruption to a side which has been unbeaten in 15 games in all competitions is to be regretted. Lennon praised his players, including Beram Kayal and Gary Hooper who have returned in recent weeks, for the run. He went on: "They've found a level of consistency and quality to their play which maybe wasn't there earlier in the season. There's a confidence running through the team, but it's not a misplaced confidence - they're working very, very hard, with and without the ball. It's satisfying but we've won nothing yet. We're not getting carried away with ourselves. We're very pleased with the progress we've made but we've got a tough month ahead of us. We're going to need all our players, all our squad." |
