Fraser Forster 1Fraser Forster has been pleased to be part of the side that beat their SPL clean sheet record. 23 of the 38 games played ended without anybody having to pick the ball out of the Celtic net and Foster was in goal for all but two of the games. The on-loan Newcastle goalkeeper equalled a club record at Norwich the previous season, keeping 18 clean sheets in 38 League One games. He was therefore delighted to go one better this term. Forster said: "We only started paying attention to it in the last couple of weeks. We don't really set off at the start of the season with a target of keeping clean sheets, but you want to achieve as many as you can. I'm very proud to be a part of it. I equalled Norwich's last season but to set a new record at a club of this stature is something really special. It's a great achievement for the whole team because everyone's contributed to it. Everyone does their job and this record is a credit to everyone.

Forster arrived on his season-long loan in August and quickly took on the number one role for the first team from Lukasz Zaluska. However,he praised the Pole for pushing him all the way this season. Forster, who is still contracted to Newcastle next season but has not ruled out extending his stay at Parkhead, said: "Lukasz played the first two games of the season, did well and kept two clean sheets, so he's played his part too. All the keepers play their part in training too and it keeps it competitive. We're always working hard because there's always someone there waiting to take your place."
