Petrov Asks Villa for move to Celtic

The only stumbling blocks would be a transfer fee, with Celtic not prepared to pay more than £3million for the player they sold only a few months ago for around £6.5million, and the ruling which prevents a player re-joining
a club less than 12 months after he left.

Villa are thought to want around £4million back of the money they paid Celtic for the Bulgarian.

Would Gordon Strachan be prepared to sanction the return of a player who tried his utmost to get a move to England in the first place?

Would he be accepted back by the fans who adored the player prior to his transfer?

This Speculation over Petrov's return has been in the forefront of our messageboard for a while now and it was all a bit pie in the sky. Now that Petrov has indeed informed Villa that he wants to come back to Glasgow things are getting interesting.
