Please Don't Go: The John Hartson story

Ex-Celtic striker John Hartson will be getting around and about to publicise his autobiography which is due to be published today. 'Please Don't Go' charts Hartson's fight to fitness after being diagnosed with testicular cancer back in July 2009, which subsequently spread to his lungs and brain. Despite having an inkling something wasn't quite right, John ignored the lump on his testicles for four years before getting it checked out. After eventually being diagnosed, he had to endure gruelling treatment and extensive brain surgery. But John's remarkable determination to overcome cancer gives this story a happy ending. During his battle for life John longed to have more time with his then pregnant wife, Sarah, and see his 3 children grow up. Remarkably, his dream has come true and John has fully returned to health and can play footie in the park with his kids! He now has a tale to tell which will offer hope to others affected by the disease and courage to others who struggle with health problems.
