“Our preparations for next season’s challenges began virtually the day when we were knocked out of this season. It is a clear and natural part of being a top club," he said.
“With great respect for our environment we are working to be better in the long run and it is a project that may run the next four to five years.
“Not just now or next year. It must be sustainable in the long term. There has been an amazing structure put into things.
“We will always push to make a signing if it is right for the club and right for the team. I have never been given a ceiling."
