The pressure is back on the Huns again tonight as they travel to Easter Road looking for the win that would put them back on top of the table but Greek international Georgios Samaras, who scored the second goal in Celtic’s 2-1 win over Dundee United last night is hoping that Hibernian and United can do us a favour. “
“We can handle the pressure,” said Georgios. “We believe in ourselves and in the team. We believe we can win our last two games and we will see where the helicopter lands on the final day of the season. I hope it lands at Celtic Park.”
“We must win our last two matches.” he added. “We had a target of nine points in mind and we have now got three. Dundee United are a very good team as they showed and it’s very difficult to play them at Tannadice. We have dropped points to them and so have Rangers. Maybe that will happen again. But maybe Rangers will drop points against Hibs at Easter Road. You never know.”
Glenn Loovens was the other goal scorer against United and in the second half especially the on-form defender continued to look impressive alongside Gary Caldwell in the centre of the under-siege defence. “We knew we had to be strong and defend the situation.” said Loovens. “We were 2-0 up here before against United and lost two points. We have to win our two games and the pressure is on Rangers at Hibs. We can watch that game at Easter Road knowing we have done our bit.
“We are looking for them to drop something, obviously.” he said. “It is always good to score a goal and help the team out. I try to get on the end of a corner or a set-piece and I was pleased to do that and score.”
