Scottish Judge Declares Famine Song as Racist

If you walk like a Duck, Quack like a Duck and sing Racist songs like a duck you are a Racist Duck one of my mates said after the first Rangers Fan to be convicted of singing the Famine Song.

Now Mr William Walls, the first fan to be convicted has lost his appeal against his conviction, and there are no prizes for guessing who was attempting to defend the indefensible?

Donald Findlay used the usual defence of the bigot and the racist - the Free Speech defence.

However Lord Carloway was not convinced and the appellants claim was not upheld, stating that requesting people to leave Scotland due to their racial background was indeed racist. No Shit Sherlock.

Referring to the Famine Song, the senior judge said: "The court does not consider that the lyrics of this refrain bear any reasonable comparison to those of 'Flower of Scotland' or indeed 'God Save the Queen'.

"Rather they are racist in calling upon people native to Scotland to leave the country because of their racial origins. This is a sentiment which... many persons will find offensive."

Further to that Lord Carloway added that the appeal judges had no difficulty in accepting the sheriff's conclusion that singing the song's chorus "displays malice and ill-will towards people of Irish descent living in Scotland".

Nae Luck Donald, or Mr Walls. I hope you have nothing to do with the Ice Cream!

Yours in Celtic
