Sevilla reject Hinkel Loan Move.

Sevilla have today rejected Celtic’s bid to sign the highly rated German full back Andreas Hinkel on loan.

Hinkel is agreeable to a move to the Scottish Champions but his team want cash for the player. Sevilla sporting director Ramon Rodriguez confirmed they had rejected Celtic's loan request for Hinkel and that they will only consider a permanent exit for the full-back.

"Our answer was negative as Hinkel will only leave the club in a sale," Rodriguez told the Scottish Sun

"We want to receive bids for him and if that happens there could still be movement."

Hinkel has informed Sevilla he wants to leave and he is still hoping to win a move to Celtic.

"I came here to play but that has become impossible because Daniel Alves is in my position," said Hinkel. "I have told the club that I'd like to move and, of course, Celtic would be perfect for me.

"It is a club with great history and they are in the last 16 of the Champions League again.

"I haven't spoken to anyone from Celtic yet but I know the position and it would be a favourable move for me."

I can’t see any transfer fee requiring Celtic to break the bank. Lets face it we desperately need a European class full back, even if he will be Cup-tied until next seasons European campaign.
