"Could Aiden play for Arsenal? You'd have to ask Arsene Wenger but I believe he's good enough. He is only 23 but showed at the weekend that the end product in goals is there and if he continues to do that then there will be a lot of interest in him.
"But hopefully he will continue to do it for us this season and most importantly, against Arsenal."
"He can certainly play for this Celtic team, that's for sure. He's very good at that and hopefully he will cause Arsenal a lot of problems.
"You saw him score two goals at the weekend and that's something the manager has asked of him. He wants more goals for himself this year and even more end product. With him shifting inside at times, I think that will help his game develop as well."
After Scott shouted house in his own personal game of cliché bingo, he turned his attention away from pouring plaudits on his team mates and onto the task at hand, dumping the Arsenal out of the Champions League.
"If we get through it will be a bigger achievement than reaching the last 16, as we've done a couple of times. It will mean we'll have played four games to get there against two top-quality teams. It would be the toughest route yet if we were to qualify.
"There are definitely things we need to worry about and combat if we are to beat them. They will believe they can come and play their game but can we play them at their own game and beat them? That is the question.
"There is nothing to be intimidated by. There is a respect for them but most of the boys have played at this level now against Barcelona, Manchester United and AC Milan for two, three, four years. It is another big team and in the past that has brought out the best.
"There have been a couple of great European nights for me and you take confidence from that. Hopefully there will be a couple more but no matter who scores if we were to win it would be a great achievement."
Tony Mowbray had hinted recently that his plan is not to go all out for a home win and try and win it over the two legs, Scott however feels that this feat will be hard to achieve should the Celts fail to win the first match.
"I think the realism is that while it is not impossible if we don't win the first leg, it makes it very difficult. I believe if we can go to the Emirates with a win under our belts - and it would be nice to go there with a clean sheet - then it would make it interesting."
McDonald was also quick to point out that whilst being written off in advance of this match has the effect of releasing some of the stress on the team, this does not however lessen the weight of expectation from the shoulders of the players
He added: "Every game when we play big teams we are made underdogs. People say that means there is no pressure going into the game but I've said before that 58,000 fans inside the stadium will be expecting us to win.
"We expect ourselves to go out there and win. We will be disappointed if we don't. We won't be thinking like that, will we? We have got to win the game and put the pressure on Arsenal for when we get to London.
"It's pretty obvious that it's a big stage and if you perform on it against the big team it is going to raise eyebrows and people are going to take more notice of individuals and Celtic Football Club as a whole.
"The atmosphere will give the players a lift. It always does. In general, these types of games bring out the best in our players. It has done in the past and hopefully that can be the case again against Arsenal.
"The players know they have to give that little bit extra to go and beat these very talented players. We know we have to do that - we have to do the dirty work as well as the nice stuff."
Some have suggested that the only way to beat Arsenal is to play a physical game. Try and play them at their own game and you will get beaten, however McDonald believes that a mixture of physical play and good football is the key to unlocking the English 'giants'
He said: "We can say Arsenal get ruffled by physical play but their players are so used to that now and in more recent times they've been happier to play against that style and been more successful.
"You have to get in and around them but that doesn't mean being dirty or kicking them off the park. You just try to stop them playing and you frustrate them.
"And when we get on the ball we have got to be right at it and if there is a chance that pops our way, we have to take it or it may come back to hurt you."
