Gordon Strachan has had his fair share of tough times down the years. Ridiculed as a child due to his diminutive 'stature' Strachan has also had to endure scrapes throughout his playing and managerial career and he insists this is nothing new.
He said "You get a crisis when you're in a reserve team as a boy at Dundee and you've got to be big enough and strong enough to get through that and make it into the first team.
"Then you get bumped out of Manchester United. There are so many crises you come across in your life and you just have to deal with them.
"You go to Coventry, and you're second bottom of the league. Can you deal with that? Yes, we got out of that crisis.
"You go to Southampton and they are second bottom. Can you deal with it? Yes, we have done that as a group. Now here's another one."
Strachan also spoke of the crisis' he had to endure when he first became the manager of the hoops and stated that he will do everything he can to save Celtic from their first Trophy-free season in five years. Strachan said: "This is the crunch time now. There was a crisis when I first came here, when there was a changeover and all the rest of the stuff.
"We handled that and won the league. Then we retained it the following season, which was another crisis. And here's a crisis now because we need to win again.
"It's all down to how we handle it from now on in as a club, the manager, coaches and players.
"We'll have a good look at ourselves - we have to do that as we're all in this crisis together.
Strachan cancelled the players leave yesterday and got them on the training ground to get the players back on the training ground and to try and iron out some of the wrinkles and he spoke of the teams need to raise there game, especially if some are unable to produce the desired performance "We always have to understand that if one or two of us are not at our best, other people have to take it on their shoulders a bit more.
"It's going to be that way all the time now. We've put ourselves under more pressure. It's not media, it's not anything else.
"It's expectation from our supporters and from ourselves and the supporters are the ones whose expectations you have to make sure you live up to."
Get it sorted out Gordon, sooner rather than later!
Yours in Celtic
