Sunday afternoon and is all well?

The good news is that Celtic are in the Final of the Scottish Cup, the bad is that it was another very unconvincing performance. Celtic continued to concede more chances than they created against lower league opposition.

Plenty of posession is the mantra of some, not enough end product is frustrating others and it would appear that there are signs that some within the support have had enough.

Should the other semi final follow the form guide, we will have to face arguably the best footballing side in Scotland. John Collin's Hibs, if they play as they can would have destroyed that Celtic team yesterday.

St Johnstone this morning must be kicking themselves with the amount of chances they missed. If they hadn't been so profligate they would have claimed yet another SPL scalp and on yesterday's performance by Celtic the more objective of fan would not have grudged them the result based on that Celtic performance.

Could it be that every Celtic fan will be supporting Dunfermline this morning? Is that the level to which we will have been reduced?

On a positive note, the performance of our favourite Deek was a joy to watch. Watching Kevin James' long, long face dropped as Riordan chests, controls and pirouettes round him in one fluid motion was almost worth the ticket money alone. Special mention also goes to Lee Naylor, whom was this reporter's MOTM. We at Mon the Hoops hope he fully recovers from that sickening challenge.

I feel that know is the time for consolidation. We are limping towards the title and possibly the double. WGS may be making a few bemusing decisions, but the fact of the matter is this. He is our manager and I believe he will get it right, but the sooner this season is over the better.
Today's piece will finish with a question. Does anyone think that Kenny Miller, or any other player for that matter will play better, will drive that extra mile, will make that tackle or lung bursting run after being booed? Would you?

Yours in Celtic
