Celtic's Travel partners Thomas Cook Have been lambasted today by supporters groups following the travel arrangements made for Celtic supporters travelling to Manchester.
Thomas Cook as the travel partner of Celtic Fc have been given the responsibility of organising away trips for Celts wishing to travel to Champions league matches. This responsibility is for all Celtic supporters but it has emerged today that in reality it is only for supporters based in the Glasgow Area.
Although a ticket allocation for away games has been Given to an Irish supporters federation the rest of the UK Celts will be looking to Thomas Cook for travel arrangements and one Celt from London got a surprising reply when he phoned the travel agency.
James Bannerman told us today. " I wanted tickets for all Three away games and had my credit card at the ready. I was told that for the Manchester United game I had to travel on the bus from Glasgow before I could get a ticket. I explained that I lived in London , I was told that I would have to travel to Glasgow and then get the bus to Manchester before I would be allowed a ticket"
The Thomas Cook travel package to Manchester means that Celts must travel by bus from Glasgow. This is totally unacceptable and with almost all other tickets going to corporate members this leaves the Celtic fans outwith Glasgow without hope of following their beloved team.
The Thomas Cook press office has been emailed for a response which if given will be printed on the cybertims website. Both the press office and customer relations can only be contacted by email and they do not publish phone numbers
