Thomas Graveson - What Went Wrong?

Last updated : 17 June 2007 By BhoyBaFett
Just been looking over Thomas's career. It would appear that Thomas is highly rated by everyone he has ever played with, Real and possibly Celtic being the exceptions.
Now I would imagine that the majority of posters on this site have at one time or another played football, it does not matter at what level, and I would imagine that like myself you would have played anywhere just to get a game, at the same time giving a credible performance. So without reverting to "he was played out of position", cause I believe someone who earns 40 grand per week should be able to play anywhere.
It has been suggested by people who have played with Thomas, Michael Laudrup among them, that his problems could have nothing to do with football, but in his mental state, because as they state "he has the class to light up any league". If this is the case, and knowing that the guy is or could be a phenomenal player, should he come clean with Celtic, so that we can help him get back on track, has he taken a massive dent to his confidence by being rejected by Real, and criticised so harshly by them, remember they intimated that they had "signed the wrong player".
Now we can all be hurt by scathing comments, and it does indeed affect the way we go about our work, so is something like this the cause of Thomas's inability to perform on the field in the way we know he can. I think there is a lot of credence in this scenario, rather than a horrendous loss off form. If this is the case, and unless Thomas admits he has a problem, should he be given another chance.
