Jarosik and Hasselbaink

Jimmy Floyd Hassalbaink has cut short his world cup pundit duties to fly home for a visit to Parkhead. Hasselbaink has told Middlesborough that he will not be renewing his contract with them. The Dutch striker has said that he is looking forward to visiting Celtic park this week to discuss terms. The latest news from Celtic park is that they are looking to unveil a double signing at the end of the week.

Chelsea player Jiri Jarosik has been booked in for a medical today and Celtic are likely to announce a 3 year deal with a years option for the 28 year old midfielder. Gordon Strachan is looking for the player to take over from Roy Keane and to make himself familiar with the Neil Lennon midfield role and Strachan is said to be looking to rebuild the team around Jarosik.


Jarosik has been lured by Celtics champions league pedigree and his agents have told him that the exposure at Celtic will help him to secure a spot in the Czech team.
