Celtic today lay down to Hearts to effectively put their greatest rivals Rangers out of next seasons champions league. Well thats what the conspiracy theorists will be saying as they watched Celtic starting off with an own goal and missing chance after chance in this game at Tynecastle. Every Celtic chance was either scuffed back to the Hearts keeper or ballooned over the bar and at no point did the hoops ever look like scoring. Was it just a bad day at the office or was there a more sinister reason for Celtics bad form? either way the Celtic fans weren't too unhappy at the result. Perhaps We aren't giving enough credit to a battling Hearts side which looked up for it from the first minute to the last, but one thing is Certain, If Rangers do not make the champions league and miss out on the financial bonus that comes with Celtic life will be much easier for the Parkhead side next season.
