A new feature on this site, the Player of the Month Award for November, goes to Chris Sutton.
To be banned for the first five games of the season, and return with some of the form Sutton has been playing in is unbelievable. Not only in the month of November, but throughout this season we have seen Sutton's best form for Celtic.
After a Man of the Match winning performance at Ibrox in October, Chris Sutton went on during this month to show what a fantastic all-round player he is. In the first match of November, the Bhoys travelled to Rugby Park, for a usually tricky match against Kilmarnock. Sutton was dropped into midfield for the game, and including two well hit penalties, grabbed his first hat-trick for the club.
Sutton adapted to the midfield role as perfect as he always does, against Anderlecht in the Champions Leauge. Under the watchful eye of England representatives, Chris scored Celtic's third goal against the Belgians, a smashing header.
All the talk was now of an England call-up, but Sutton played down the interest.
In between decent performances against Dunfermline and Bayern Munich, Sutton bagged another hat-trick, while playing in his preferred striking position, against Dundee United last week. The first of the hat-trick was to open the scoring, alongside a follow up to a Larsson shot and a late penalty, the Man of the Match Champagne went to the Sutton house once again.
Congratulations to the Big Man, long may the great form continue!
